PLSclear is an online service where requestors can seek permission to reuse published content. The service addresses common problems experienced by those seeking permission:
- Identifying the current rights holder of a title.
- Knowing what information to supply them with.
- Knowing who to send the request to.
- Waiting for a response.
The service is provided by the Publishers Licensing Society (PLS) a not-for-profit organisation owned by the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP); the Independent Publishers Guild (IPG); the Professional Publishers Association (PPA); and the Publishers Association (PA). Find out more about PLS at www.pls.org.uk
